Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about requesting offers from licensed recruitment offices and domestic labour companies through SaudiMaid.
About the service
Is SaudiMaid a recruitment office?
No — we are a matching service only. We don’t recruit, employ, sponsor or transfer any worker. We pass your request to licensed recruitment offices and domestic labour companies, and you contract with them through official channels.
Is the request free?
Yes — sending a request is free and without obligation. The offer, contract and costs are agreed directly between you and the licensed provider.
How is my request matched with a suitable worker?
Through the licensed provider alone. We don’t show profiles, photos or lists, and we don’t compare nationalities. We only ask about your family’s needs and job-related skills; the licensed provider handles the procedures.
Which suits me: recruitment, a monthly worker or hourly help?
It depends on how long you need help, whether there is a suitable room, and whether you can carry an employer’s obligations. Read recruitment, monthly or hourly?.
How do I check that a provider is licensed?
Ask for the licence number and check it through official channels, and don’t pay before a written contract. Read how to choose a licensed recruitment office.
What do I commit to towards the worker?
Salary on time, daily and weekly rest, decent accommodation, health care, letting her keep her documents, and work within the contract. Read the rights and obligations.
Requests and follow-up
Who will contact me after I send a request?
Licensed providers that serve your city and the service you need, to understand your family’s needs, explain the procedures and send a written offer.
Why do you ask about household size and duties?
Because a realistic description helps the provider understand the need and helps the worker know what awaits her, so the start is fairer for both sides.
Why don’t you ask about the worker’s age or religion?
Because we only ask about job-related skills — experience, language, cooking, childcare — and accept no filtering by personal traits.
Can I choose WhatsApp?
Yes — in the last step you choose your preferred channel: call or WhatsApp. Email is optional.
Do you check the providers?
We check the licence number before any request reaches a provider, but we don’t rate providers or guarantee their services. Check yourself too — read how to choose a licensed recruitment office.
Do you set the prices?
No — providers make their own offers, and official fees are set by the competent authorities. Our cost page explains what affects an offer.
Rights and the contract
Why do I confirm that I will respect the worker’s rights?
Because a dignified relationship is the basis of success for both family and worker, and because the service runs under an official contract with clear obligations. Read the rights and obligations.
Can a worker be moved to another family?
Any transfer happens only through official procedures; we take no part in any arrangement outside them and show no “transfer” offers.
What if a disagreement arises after contracting?
Start with a calm conversation, then contact the licensed provider, then the competent official bodies if needed. Read the domestic work contract.
Privacy and data
How do you use my data?
We use your details only to pass your request to the licensed providers relevant to it, after your explicit consent. Your rights and how to make a request about your data are set out in our Privacy Policy.
Do you ask for an ID or iqama number, or documents?
No — we don’t ask for any ID or iqama number and don’t ask you to upload documents. Your name, mobile, city and district are enough; the official procedures happen directly with the licensed provider.
